4-28-01. This is the upper rear starter mount. The oil filler/fuel pump housing was machined down to accept the starter mount plate. The two pieces were then bolted in place.
4-28-01. The 1996 Nissan Sentra 1.6L starter was then mounted for a trial fit. Everything lined up perfectly and now the lower starter bracket needs to be fabricated.
4-28-01. Nice shot here of the rear starter and fuel pump.
4-28-01. Basically all that is left to complete the rear starter arrangement is to install the alternator and lower starter bracket.
7-13-01. This is my prop hub spacer which will be installed between the crank shaft flange and the prop hub. Jon Crawford fabricated this spacer from 6061-T6 and did a superior job as is evident by the mirror finish he achieved.
7-13-01. The prop hub is now in place and is a perfect match with the spacer.
12-05-01. Here you can see the rear starter and the top oil line hose adapter.
12-05-01. Here you can see the fitting adapter I fabricated which will allow me to remote mount the oil filter and the oil cooler to the firewall. This adapter is directly behind my rear starter.
12-05-01. The John Deere Dynamo (alternator) part number AM877557 and the John Deere regulator part number AM101406.
12-05-01. This is the John Deere dynamo (alternator) part number AM877557 looking at the rear side. The dynamo is turned by a belt from the flexplate pulley which is mounted to the harmonic balancer.
