Raise That Hood...Please

After I made the final decision to go with a gull wing canopy, I was confronted with the dilema of access to the forward part of the cockpit. I wanted this access to maintain brake pedals, reservoirs and the rear of the instrument panel. Conclusion was to develope a hood for this access. Here you can see I cut the forward part of the forward deck and hinged both sides with a piano hinge. This allows the hood to be raised from either side or completely removed.
