A TRIBUTE TO KEN RAND

The photo below was taken today 12-23-2005. Am I backing up or moving forward? I hope I am moving forward as I am in the process of removing the engine. I have already removed the wings and rudder. There are several things I need to fix and modify on the plane. Once that is finished, I will do the final body work and then paint her. Hopefully this spring she will emerge as a beautiful airplane. I have accumulated 69.7 flight hours on my KR prior to doing this work. It is nice having the KR back home for the winter but I hope this will be the last time. It was really hard to tear her down instead of flying.

The following photo was taken on 1-15-2006. I am in the process of doing the final paint job on my plane as well as making some modifications.

The following two photos were taken this morning January 29, 2006 of the first coat of polyurethane paint which I began applying last night at 8PM and finished at 1:30am this morning. These photos do not do the paint justice but at least lets you know where I am at in the painting process.

The photo below was taken on 2-01-2006 after the final coat of paint was applied. Now all I have to do is apply the graphics and the fuselage heads back to the airport.

This photo was taken 2-15-06 and is the completion of my graphics application. On the side of the cowl is a graphic which boasts what type engine I have. A close up of that graphic is in the photo below.
